I discovered a fun fact about a husband and wife who’s house I’m selling in Oakmont Estates, in a great location off Dezavala Rd., near I-10. Brian and Ludy Pangtay are long-time swing dancers. This was a neat coincidence because my wife and went to our first swing dance right before I learned this. The Pangtay’s have 15 years’ experience with swing and ballroom style dance. They find its excellent way to combine exercise with a good time.
“Swing dance is a super fun activity that also happens to be an excellent stress reliever,” Ludy said. “The swing dance events give you a chance to socialize and have fun after a long day at work.”
Learn to Swing Dance
The Pangtay’s are members of the Alamo City Swing Revival, which hosts dances and lessons around the city on a weekly basis. Before a dance, instructors hold a group lesson to teach a couple of basic steps. That’s all you need to get into the groove. Beginners get to practice by taking turns with partners before the official dance begins. Regulars are super helpful and patient to help newbies practice the steps. Brian and Ludy are also swing dance instructors. This month they taught East Coast style swing.
“We provide free lessons before every dance and it’s very easy to learn the steps,” Ludy said. “Learning is part of the fun.”
A Home Ready for New Memories
The Pangtay’s house at 12227 Stable Ridge has a family room big enough to swing dance. With wood flooring, cathedral ceiling and fireplace, the room feels grand, yet inviting. The family room flows into a large kitchen making the home ideal for gatherings.
“The new owners will really enjoy the open setting of the house,” Ludy said. “It has a wonderful layout, and the location is unbeatable.”
12227 Stable Ridge was featured on the Lonestar Living TV Show, which airs Sunday’s, at 10:30 a.m. on NBC affiliate, Channel 4. You can also watch the segment on CBHarper.TV. Follow my Facebook or Instagram page for updates on the next open house. The Pangtay’s are ready to sell and considering all offers.
